There isn’t One Darn Thing That Doesn’t Inspire Me!

I have a problem. My problem is something that I don’t talk about often because it is one that I think many people would like to have.

My problem? I am inspired by EVERYTHING! It is bad, I just saw a dead weed in my yard and realized that if I put a bunch of them together, it would look like hay for a table decoration. Let me say that again, I was inspired by a weed to decorate the table, a dead weed! The problem is that I can’t turn it off. There are so many projects, distractions, little blots of ideas floating around in my head that it is hard to finish anything.

Some call me easily entertained, I can spend quite a long time hunting for lizards. Some call me ditsy because I giggle at the silliest things. What they don’t know is that I have found the secret to life, my life at least.

I am enchanted, entranced and just plain giddy over life. Nature is my largest joy and inspiration. The picture of the lizard that I caught is blurry, but here are a few things that I can see just in my area that inspire me…..

Don’t you want to just steam these up and create a feast? They inspire me to cook.

Isn’t this lettuce just dewy and ready to pick for tonight’s dinner? It inspired me to eat healthy and grow more.

Garden, learn to garden, count the bees for The Great Sunflower Project

.

This stump at the post office made me jump out of the car with the camera. I was envisioning wall art, wrapping paper and note cards.

This is the bay right near my house and that poor dried out book inspired me to check the tide charts and take her out for a ride.

Finally, nature at it’s magnificence, Morro Rock. That sight always leads to me pulling out my paintbrushes and canvases.

There you have it, Mother Earth inspires me, so many shapes, colors and textures…

What a great post all about your inspiration! I am inspired by nature, as well. The awe of God's creation amazes me daily.

I am inspired by your post....inspired to take a closer look at things that are right outside my door. Thanks for helping me to remember to "stop and smell the roses".

Hi Gwen.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I loved this post. Nature is indeed a fantastic source of inspiration. The way you captured a few of those things that inspire you was just beautiful! God is in the details, they say.
Thank you for always being so sweet to me, for visiting, and always commenting. You brighten my days.

I wouldn't call you "easily amused." I would say, instead, that you feel things deeply and have great appreciation for the true value of what you see around you!

But I draw the line at the weeds on the table...just teasing...

I am easily inspired too. Sometimes it is a problem. My husband occasionally has trouble seeing potential in all my junk. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. The world is a playground for the easily inspired.

Wonderful post and love the images! I wish I was creative and could be inspired, but there really isn't much creativity in me. Instead, I get to enjoy all the things other people create. That's okay too.

Hey Crazy lady. :-) I say that in a loving way. You didn't add your link to Mcklinky. You added in the comment section. I can add you if you want me to.

I think that once you are able to get inspired by the little things in life, you will be able to enjoy life more. I loved your post!!!

My boys are chasing lizards around in the back yard at this very moment:)

Have you heard that quote that says 'a man who is tired of London is tired of life' ?

Your post reminds me of that and I tend to agree with Connie, it's better to have too much inspiration than too little. And that tree stump would make wonderful art.
